Recipe Instructions

This recipe is sourced from Modern soapmaking.

Measure wax and oils. Make lye solution with .64 oz. of sodium lactate. Blend oils with lye solution in spurts for 45 seconds. I varied the original oils by adding 3 ozs. of Tamanu oil to it, except I'm nearly out so I'm adding just .11 ozs.

Pour into slow cooker, cover with plastic wrap and cook on low for around 3 hours - checking on the soap

every 30 minutes. When done, unplug the cooker. Let the soap cool a little and add the secret sauce of essential oils. Pour into cans.
