Recipe Instructions

This is the first time I've reduced the water percentage, down to 28%.

Also, the first time using Sodium lactate - I understand it's OK to use 1 teaspoon per pound of soap so I'll use 2 for this.

Also, I split the batch and using spirulina with one half and charcoal with the other. The Essential oils above were added to the charcoal batch, and I added lavender, lemon and a little yarrow for healing to the spirulina bar.

Spirulina Wellness Bar

This luxurious cold-process soap blends olive oil (64.86%) for mild cleansing, coconut oil (27.03%) for creamy lather, and pumpkin seed oil (8.11%) for deep hydration and antioxidant benefits.

Spirulina powder delivers nutrient-rich green colour and skin-brightening benefits, enhanced by a soothing blend of lavender, lemon, and yarrow essential oils, perfect for calming, rejuvenating wellness rituals.

Benefits: Nourishes dry skin, reduces inflammation, promotes relaxation with subtle blue-green marbling from yarrow oil. Ideal for sensitive skin, post-yoga showers, or daily spa-like cleansing. 5% superfat + sodium lactate creates smooth, long-lasting bars.

Gentle enough for face and body.

Gardener's Scrub Detox Bar

Perfect for hardworking hands, this cold process soap combines olive oil (64.86%) for gentle cleansing, coconut oil (27.03%) for abundant lather, and pumpkin seed oil (8.11%) for skin nourishment and antioxidant protection.

Activated charcoal deeply cleanses dirt, grime, and garden chemicals from pores, while tea tree (45%), eucalyptus (45%), and oregano (10%) essential oils provide powerful antimicrobial action to soothe cuts, scrapes, and insect bites, ideal for gardeners, mechanics, or anyone with dirty hands.

Benefits: Removes embedded dirt, heals minor wounds, fights bacteria. 5% superfat + sodium lactate ensures long-lasting, hard bars that stand up to tough scrubbing.

External use recommended due to potent essential oils.
