never put crock pot on "warm" only. leave on low. if you are in a hurry to melt oils. melt them in a microwave...not on high in crock pot. today. I put crock pot on warm....for 30 minutes...now 15 minutes after the 30....still testing for "hot" lye....lesson: needs low temp for 30 minutes to consolidate oils into soap....don't over or under-cook it. learned!
