Banana Soap
Recipe Instructions
Use coconut milk as full water replacement.
Citric Acid (@2%) - Dissolve in coconut milk BEFORE freezing.
Additional lye will be needed to neutralize citric acid.
Sodium Lactate (@2%) - Dissolve in lye milk AFTER the milk has cooled down to below 100 degrees.
Banana Puree (@7%) - Add to warmed oils and blend well. Strain the oils BEFORE adding the lye milk. I use frozen bananas that are blended with a bit of the warm oils to make the puree.
Place soap loaf in freezer to prevent overheating.
Leave soap unscented so fragrance oils won't alter the soap's appearance.
