Recipe Instructions
ADD 1% CITRIC ACID, REPLACE HALF WATER WITH GOATS MILK
🧼 Process Notes
- Prepare herbal tea → freeze
- Freeze goat milk into cubes
- Slowly add lye to frozen liquids (keep under 90°F)
- Oils + butters melted & cooled
- Light trace → add powders (oil-dispersed)
- Pour, tap, cover lightly
- Unmold in 24–48 hrs
- Cure 6–8 weeks (worth it)
- Store with fragrance or essential oil cotton ball to keep fragrances if added.
🌿 Botanical Additives (Same for Both)
(These are supportive, not medicinal)
- Calendula – oil infusion or 1 tsp PPO powdered
- Chamomile – strong tea for part of liquid
- Plantain Leaf – ½ tsp PPO (very finely powdered)
- Colloidal Oatmeal – 1 tbsp PPO
⚠️ All powders must be very finely ground
⚠️ No exfoliation — this is comfort soap
🥛 Goat Milk + Liquid Setup (Important)
Total Liquid = per your lye calculator
Use this breakdown:
- 70% frozen goat milk
- 30% strong chamomile tea
🔥 Freeze BOTH before adding lye
➕ Add sodium lactate: 1 tsp PPO (optional but recommended)
