Recipe Instructions

use the infused in annatto olive oil

BANANA SOAP:

Fragrance: Monkey farts at 4% maximum, it has a slight vanillin content

COLORS: the yellow annato color will fade after 5 months, the rest should be activated charcoal, stripey look, dispersed in almond oil

EMBEDS: Banana bunches

ADDITIVES: 1 teaspoon of salt to lye water

GEL: Yes

MOLD: SIlicone rectangular mold, about 50 oz total

Feedback: I used french green clay for green portion. I brought to mild trace. It was in thick trace when pouring the second and consecutive layers. The fragrance oil seemed to accelerate this batch to some degree. The yellow portion (which had no clay) had become hard by the time I was pouring the leftover. The top became hard fairly fast so I had to push the embeds in. My soaping temperatures were low (room temperature for lye water) It started gelling and getting really warm. I insulated it. After 7 hours there is some adhesion to the sides.

PEACH SOAP:

For 50 oz of soap, 3 oz of fragrance, use whole bottle (2 oz)

COLORS: Cocoa powder, yellow, orange (red perhaps), keep it at light trace for easy blending.

GEL: yes

ADDITIVIES: 1 teaspoon of salt to lye water

EMBEDS: Peaches

MOLD: pink square silicone

Feedback: I used rose pink clay, which turned orange (expected) because of the yellow infused oil. It was quite runny when I poured it. I did not cover or insulate. After 7 hours it felt very solid and I was able to unmold and cut. It is tricky to unmold from this silicone mold, perhaps because it is taller.

OVAL MOLD:

With leftovers, for fusing experiment. Cover with saran wrap to keep top moist, bring to medium trace.
