Melt and pour soap Experiment
Recipe Instructions
Method
1. Melt the following in a crock pot on high heat:
* Sunflower Oil
* Stearic Acid
* Lauric Acid
* Beeswax
* Mango Butter
* Palm Oil
* Propylene Glycol
* SLES
until well melted. Temp of about 130°F
2. Using safety wear prepare the water-Lye mixture when oils have melted through. Add lye to water and stir until dissolved. Set aside until 130°F
3. Add the lye mixture to the oils and blend to past trace until mixture thickens. Once it is thick and sticky allow to cook.
4. Allow to cook for 60 minutes mixing well after 15 minute intervals.
After 1st, 2nd and 3rd 15 minutes intervals the mixture will have liquid under top paste part, just mix and blend everything again.
On the last 15 minutes stir constantly for 7 minutes until creamy thick then lid crock pot again.
5. Once mixture has cooked and looks like thick and creamy you can add the glycerine and blend well with blender stick allow the mixture to heat in the glycerine. This takes about 30 minutes. Once melted through add the triethonolamine and mix well.
6. Once completely melted you can pour into mould and allow to set.
7. Once soap has set in mould demould and test the soap.

3. Cutting properties
4. Coloring properties
